Tropical Storm Helene formed in the NW Caribbean. Storm expected to make landfall in Florida Thursday evening as major hurricane. By Wednesday the wind shear should weaken in the Gulf and the storm will likely become a hurricane. Rapid intensification could continue into Thursday before the storm makes landfall in the Big Bend of Florida late Thursday as a major hurricane. The storms will speed up and spread its strong winds and rain inland through Georgia and South Carolina on Friday.
