Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin says Beryl forecast to be a hurricane before reaching the Caribbean Monday. Tropical Storm Beryl is now the second named storm of the season. Some models say it could be a possible low-end major hurricane. No real change in the 5-day forecast, still around Jamaica or somewhere in the central to western Caribbean by the middle of next week. Once the storm is in the Caribbean, we'll have a far better idea of its eventual track toward more landmasses. Either Mexico, some central America or possibly the United States. The heat is the more pressing issue with advisories and warnings this weekend.
