Description
Meteorologist Payton Malone talks about Tropical Storm Alberto making landfall and a possible second named storm by this weekend.
Tropical Storm Alberto is making landfall Thursday morning in northern Mexico near Tampico. The storm will move inland Thursday and continue to dump heavy rain mainly over mountainous areas of northern Mexico.
Invest 92 is currently sitting east of The Bahamas. This disturbance has a low chance of becoming a short-lived storms as it near northern Florida/Georgia by Friday.
Another area of moisture is set to enter the SW Gulf (again) by this weekend. The National Hurricane Center does give this a chance of becoming another weak tropical storm. It would likely take a very similar path as Alberto. We don't expect major impacts from this on the northern Gulf Coast. Next name is Beryl.
