Description
WWL Louisiana Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin with the latest on increased chances of a tropical system impacting New Orleans-area weather into early next week.
Invest 90L is still moving across FL, with an emergence off the FL east coast by Thursday. Once in the Atlantic, it does have a low chance to develop, likely remaining off the US East Coast.
The NHC is also highlighting an area for medium development potential in the Bay of Campeche in the SW Gulf of Mexico. This has been indicated by models over the last several days. The upper pattern over the Gulf looks to keep this feature well south as it eventually moves in to the east coast of Mexico next week, possibly as a more organized tropical system. No threats to us locally.
