Description
Invest 90 continues to track into Florida bringing with it heavy rain to south/central Florida. It will move into the Atlantic Ocean in the next couple of days where it has a low chance of becoming a tropical depression. It will stay in the Atlantic Ocean through early next week and is not a threat to the East Coast.
The upper high near SE LA and S MS is gradually shifting east this weekend. That will allow another area of tropical moisture to enter the Gulf of Mexico from the Caribbean Sea this weekend. Eventually, this tropical moisture will approach Texas and Louisiana by late Sunday, lasting into early next week. It does appear the upper high pressure will begin to shift west Monday/Tuesday pushing the majority of the deep tropical moisture towards Texas and Mexico. That means we still likely see scattered storms locally but perhaps miss the worst of the heavy rain. There is still uncertainty in the forecast, so check back for updates.
