Description
Invest 90 has been labeled west of Florida Tuesday morning. This feature will move northeast over Florida and could become a tropical depression later this week as it moves out into the Atlantic. Through a big part of this week Florida will be the center of the heavy rain threat, but by Sunday a plume of tropical moisture moves our direction toward the northern Gulf Coast. This will increase the chance for heavy rain starting at some point Sunday and lasting into Monday. We unfortunately are still too far out to give fine details on where the heaviest rain fall, but this is a pattern that can produce flooding. It appears there will be enough wind shear to keep this area of moisture from developing into a storm that causes wind problems, but rain will likely be the bigger story regardless of development.
