Description
Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford has the forecast at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
No cool-downs are in the forecast as a warm pattern takes us through the weekend and into early next week. We'll kick off the month of May on Wednesday with a dry and fairly pleasant feel. Thursday brings more cloud cover and perhaps a couple of stray showers.
The highest chance of rain should come on Friday when a few scattered showers and storms could pop up. Not everyone will get rain, but a rain poncho/umbrella would be a good idea to take to Jazz Fest or other outdoor events.
Saturday looks drier, although a few showers may be possible. These chances of rain will be due to an unsettled pattern to our north where a front will stall. A few disturbances will ride along in this general area. It looks like we are far enough south to miss out on any big impacts, but there will be that chance of rain.
Sunday and early next week look dry and a little warmer.
