Philippe is finally moving away from the islands and will likely pick up a bit of strength as it moves northward, though now the NHC maintain its strength as a tropical storm. Elsewhere no development is expected in the next 7 days. Some long-range models are continuing to hint at possible development within the next 8 to 10 days in the Bay of Campeche or southern Gulf. As of now, nothing looks to be a threat, but could be something to monitor going forward.
