Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford says a chance of tornadoes is in the New Orleans Weather forecast at 5 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2022. Tuesday will be the most active weather day this week with a threat of severe thunderstorms. Storms will roll in from late morning to early afternoon between roughly 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Damaging wind gusts and tornadoes will be the biggest threats, along with 1-2 inches of rain.
