Description
Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford has the New Orleans Weather forecast for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 18.
A chilly and mostly clear Sunday is ahead as high pressure briefly builds in behind a cold front. A light north breeze will make it feel even colder at times.
Clouds increase Sunday night to make it mostly cloudy and still chilly on Monday. A Gulf low will slowly ride along our coastline with rain from Monday afternoon into Monday night. Rain could be heaviest overnight with 1-3 inch totals expected for most of us. A few showers could linger on Tuesday. The low pressure moves east by Wednesday to make it dry and a little warmer.
