Tropical Storm Lisa could hit Central America as a Category 1 Hurricane. Tropical Storm Lisa formed Monday morning in the Caribbean Sea. It is moving westward. The National Hurricane Center predicts it will strengthen and could become a hurricane before a landfall in Central America near Belize on Wednesday. A big high pressure ridge building to its north will prevent it from heading north toward the Gulf of Mexico, so it is not a threat to the Gulf Coast.
