There is a system in the Caribbean and one in the Atlantic to keep an eye on, according to Meteorologist Payton Malone. There are two areas to watch in the tropics. A trough of low pressure found in the southwestern Atlantic has a low chance of tropical development through the weekend. It looks like it'll continue to move to the north away from the Caribbean. The next area could form into to low pressure in the central Caribbean in the next few days. If something develops, it's unlikely it will move into the Gulf of Mexico due to all of the cold fronts that has been moving through. But we'll watch closely.
