Description
We get truly chilly fall weather this week, but Monday brings a mostly cloudy and warm feel. The morning will likely start with fog especially north of Lake Pontchartrain. A few spotty showers could form during midday and afternoon as a cold front moves through. The front will slide south by Monday evening. Monday night starts to turn chilly as temperatures fall into the 50s.
Tuesday brings partly cloudy skies, a north breeze, and noticeably cooler air with highs in the 60s.
It turns even colder starting Tuesday night. Wednesday and Thursday morning temperatures will be in the middle to upper 30s north of the lake and 40s south of the lake. Afternoons look sunny and cool with highs in the 60s. Frost will be possible north of the lake both Wednesday and Thursday morning, so it might not be a bad idea to protect any sensitive plants. Southshore will be chilly, but not cool enough to worry about frost.
We start to warm up by Friday in the upper 70s with low 80s for the upcoming weekend.
