There are no threats to the Gulf Coast for at least the next week. PTC 13 has now become Tropical Depression 13 with winds of 35 mph moving to the west at 15 mph. Additional strengthening is expected through day as it moves through the Caribbean. Most likely it will become Tropical Storm Julia later this afternoon. The latest prediction from the NHC suggest that it will become a category 1 hurricane Sunday morning before making landfall in central America.
