Description
As of Thursday morning, there are no tropical threats to SE LA and the Gulf coast. There are also no named storms in the tropics.
We're continuing to watch Tropical Depression 12 which continues to swirl out in the Atlantic Basin and should become a remnant low later today.
A tropical wave found in the eastern Caribbean is now designated Potential Tropical 13 and is expected to strengthen into a Tropical Storm Friday morning. Julia is next on the list.
The latest prediction from the NHC shows that it'll likely make landfall along the coast of Nicaragua as a category 1 hurricane as early as Sunday morning.
As of now, it looks unlikely it'll move into the Gulf. We'll continue to watch it.
