The Wednesday morning tropical update shows no threats to the U.S. over the next 5-7 days, but Caribbean Islands should monitor Invest 96. Currently no named storms active in the Atlantic basin, but the NHC is highlighting Invest 96 in the Atlantic. The tropical wave is surrounded by dry air , but is producing showers and t-storms. If the system can continue to produce showers and t-storms it could organize more over the next couple days. Overall, the tropical wave will move west toward the Caribbean Islands (Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico) by this weekend. Regardless of development, could bring heavy rain to the islands.
