Description
In Thursday's 10 AM tropical update, Michelle Morgan highlights two named areas and two other spots to watch in the Atlantic.
Danielle continues to show signs of weakening as it runs into wind shear and being over cooler waters. Not a direct threat to any land and is now a post-tropical cyclone. Earl holds steady as a category 2 hurricane and further strengthening is expected in the next few days. A tropical wave found over the central Atlantic has a high chance for tropical formation and may become a tropical depression or the next named storm sometime today. Not a threat to any area. In fact, long-range models keeps it over the ocean not affecting any land. Another tropical wave just moved off the coast of Africa today and has a 30% chance for tropical development in the next 5 days. So far the season remains below average and let's hope that continues!
