Storms forming are unlikely to hit New Orleans, but the city is still in the heart of hurricane season. The NHC is highlighting three areas in the Atlantic. Two are in the tropics and one in the subtropics further in the northern Atlantic. The one with the greatest chance, Invest 91, is in the central Atlantic. As it progresses toward the NW, it appears as though it will just clear the northern Lesser Antilles and begin a turn out to sea before reaching the Bahamas or US East coast.
