The Argentine Naval Prefecture is investigating a dead whale that washed ashore on the banks of the Rio de la Plata near Buenos Aires.
The species has yet to be identified. For health and safety reasons, the whale's carcass is removed from the coast. The cause of death remains unknown. IMAGES
