"I thought I was never going to get out of there," says a tearful Edwuar Hernandez as he greets relatives and friends at his home in Maracaibo, western Venezuela, after spending four months in a Salvadoran prison.
Hernandez and Mervin Yamarte are two of the 252 Venezuelan migrants who were flown home on July 18 from a notorious "anti-terrorism" prison in El Salvador, where they were sent by the United States in March in a fear-inducing crackdown on undocumented migrants. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
