Description
At least 14 people were injured on July 30, 2025, when a car crashed into a Portillo's restaurant in Oswego, Illinois. Eight victims were taken to nearby hospitals while six others were treated and released at the scene, according to ABC. One person was reported in critical condition.
The crash happened at the Portillo’s location on Route 34. Witnesses say the car drove through the front doors of the restaurant. Emergency responders arrived quickly to treat multiple injured individuals, ABC reported.
Portillo’s said it is cooperating with authorities and has temporarily closed the restaurant.
