Description
A strike by nearly 10,000 city workers in Philadelphia continued to impact the city on Thursday, as trash piled up in some areas and more than 30 staffers were ordered to return to work at the city's Medical Examiner’s Office.
A judge also ordered some emergency service dispatchers and essential water department employees back to work.
Negotiations resumed Wednesday, but union leaders say they remain far from apart.
Antoine Dargan lives around a cornor from one of the temporary trash drop-off sites and said trash have been added constantly since the day before but have not been picked up by the city yet.
Mayor Cherelle Parker vows to keep the city running, even during this week's Fourth of July celebrations.
