With a health care worker shortage still being felt across the country and even the world, incidents like the one Lauren Fogt experienced recently at Kindred Hospital near downtown Indianapolis, where she's the director of quality management, have her worried about holding on to staff.
"We had a new tech a few weeks ago that was bitten by a patient and it was like her second week," Fogt recounted. "My first thought was, 'I really hope she doesn't quit, because she's really really good.' She's an amazing CNA."
