California will file a lawsuit Monday against President Donald Trump's extraordinary deployment of National Guard troops to Los Angeles to confront immigration protesters who took to the streets, the attorney general said, arguing that the president had “trampled” the state's sovereignty. “We don’t take lightly to the president abusing his authority and unlawfully mobilizing California National Guard troops” state Attorney General Rob Bonta told reporters.
