Description
We start the workweek still muggy and warm, but not as dangerously hot as last week.
Storm chances continue for later today, with the highest risk for scattered showers and storms this afternoon and evening. There is a minimal potential for a few strong to severe storms with gusty winds possible, but widespread severe weather is not expected.
After the storms clear out, we're looking ahead to sunnier skies, lower humidity, and drier conditions for the first few days of July. Temperatures will be in the mid-80s through the workweek and we're looking at a nice Fourth of July!
With the exception of some rain chances in the morning on Tuesday, the rest of the week looks to sunny, warm, and mainly dry. As we head into the holiday weekend, the heat ramps back up. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 90s again, with chances of rain and storms retuning by Sunday.
