Description
A 19-year-old Evansville woman is under arrest for allegedly planning to use pipe bombs hidden in Monster Energy drinks to use at her former high school.
The woman was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville for an evaluation on May 30. According to the Evansville Police Department, an officer was going through the intake process with her when he found suspicious items in her backpack.
Police say one object was a pill bottle wrapped in duct tape with a match stick coming out of the top with a piece of cloth attached. The officer also found an aluminum pipe sealed on both ends with duct tape, with "what appeared to be incendiary materials inside the pipe, accompanied by a strong chemical odor."
