Description
Small businesses, private nonprofits (PNP) and residents in the Tampa Bay area affected by severe storms and the EF-1 tornado just weeks ago may be eligible for low interest federal disaster loans, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced on Wednesday.
SBA issued a disaster declaration in response to a request received from Gov. Ron DeSantis. According to a press release, the declaration covers Pinellas County, as well as Hillsborough and Pasco counties which are eligible for both physical damage loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs).
Small businesses and private nonprofits can apply for business physical disaster loans and may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace disaster-damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets, according to the SBA.
