The first round of Bolivia's presidential election marked the end of an era in the crisis-hit Andean country. After 20 years of rule, the socialists who came to power with the 2005 election of iconic leader Evo Morales were voted out.
Two candidates from the right -- ex-president Jorge "Tuto" Quiroga and senator Rodrigo Paz -- topped the poll on a promise of far-reaching reforms. They will go head-to-head in a run-off election on October 19. PROFILE OF RODRIGO PAZ
