Three decades of conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo have left women and girls still falling victim to horrific mutilations used as weapons of war. The film Muganga - The One Who Cares (French: Muganga – Celui qui soigne), to be released in France on Wednesday 24 September, aims to shine a light on this "neglected humanitarian crisis". "The war in the DRC is a forgotten war," says renowned Congolese doctor Denis Mukwege, whose fight inspired the film, in an interview with AFP in Paris.
