The trial of Saint-Etienne's mayor, Gaël Perdriau, has begun at the Lyon judicial court. He arrived this Monday alongside seven other defendants and the main complainant, former deputy mayor Gilles Artigues, to face charges in the "sextape" case. Perdriau, 53, who was previously excluded from the Les Républicains party, is being tried for blackmail, organized crime, and embezzlement of public funds.
