Thousands of Hasidic Jewish pilgrims flock to the central Ukrainian city of Uman for the Jewish New Year celebration of Rosh Hashanah, despite warnings from Kyiv not to travel due to the Russian invasion. Every year, pilgrims from Israel and other countries make the journey to the birthplace of the Orthodox Hasidic movement.
