Perched 40 meters up in a tower of the operator TDF, cameras monitor the Fontainebleau forest. Their role: to prevent forest fires, thanks to the artificial intelligence with which they are equipped. A system developed by the NGO "Pyronear," which allows firefighters to "save time" by "detecting the outbreak of a fire in the forest as early as possible" and then precisely locating it, explains Commander Paul Laurain, head of the communication service for firefighters in Seine-et-Marne.
