Kaden Ross, his sister Mckenzie and their friend, Lily Ward, all work as lifeguards at the Pataskala community pool.
Their shift on Monday started like any other day, but things quickly changed.
“I started hearing, like, screams coming from the woods,” said Ross.
The three teens immediately ran from their posts at the pool, across a field, jumped a fence and then saved a mother and her son in the South Fork Licking River.
