That’s one of the many messages Taylor Perdue-Zamora reads every day when she looks at her vision board.
“Just some small little quotes and sayings just to keep me going, like ‘Don’t quit,’ ‘Get Ready,’ you know, some Bible verses: Corinthians, Walk by faith, not by sight,” she said.
She is leaning on her faith during a busy season of life.
“Work, I’m in school and then taking care of my kiddos,” Perdue-Zamora said.
This is a time of transition.
“Currently living in a shelter right now,” Perdue-Zamora said.
She lives at the YWCA Family Center, and her four kids have called the center home since a house fire in November of last year.
“It was hard,” she said about the decision to access shelter care. “I was in denial. I didn’t want to do it because I’m not used to that. I’ve never been in this type of position before. So, it was hard. It was very hard.”
