Description
Get ready for a shift in the weather today! Scattered rain and storms are expected to continue with some heavy downpours at times into the afternoon.
We will alternate between cloudy skies and periods of showers, with some thunderstorms possible. While we could see some heavy rain, severe weather is not expected.
Spots that receive the heaviest rain could pick up between 1-2" when all is said and done. These areas should be on alert for some potential flooding, especially in areas that normally collect water with persistent rainfall.
Overall rainfall amounts won't be enough to totally bust the drought for all of Central Ohio, but we will take what we get and that will certainly help things out!
After the rain clears out during Tuesday night, colder air will settle in! More fall-like conditions are expected for the rest of the week, as highs will be in the 60s on Wednesday and Thursday, and overnight temperatures will be in the 40s and could even dip into the upper 30s by Friday morning,
The light cold snap won't last long, with highs returning to the 70s by Friday and into the weekend!
