Description
For Wednesday in Central Ohio I hope you have your rain gear ready, because shower chances will be with us for most of the day!
Expect cloudy skies and rain showers with some embedded thunderstorms to be possible throughout the day on Wednesday. The heaviest showers and most widespread rain is expected during the morning, with coverage becoming more scattered by the afternoon. Rain chances never totally go away, even this evening, but there will be increased dry periods later in the day and into Wednesday night between areas of rainfall.
A few gusty thunderstorms are also possible on Wednesday, especially south of I-70, but this chance will be pretty low. The bigger impact will be heavier rainfall totals likely for the more southern portions of the viewing area.
Scattered showers and storms will again be with us on Thursday, with the heaviest impacts again looking to be in the first half of the day. Chances for rainfall will be decreasing throughout the day with our chances never fully going to 0.
In total, rainfall from this past weekend combined with the expected rainfall this week, may total to 2-3 inches across central Ohio. Not quite ending the drought, but this will definitely put a dent in it!
Sunshine and drier conditions arrive for Friday and that will continue throughout the weekend. Expect temperatures to rebound back into the upper 70s over the weekend, and highs will return to the low 80s early next week.
