A surge in car break-ins and smash-and-grab thefts across Columbus neighborhoods has prompted the Columbus Division of Police to launch a specialized task force aimed at catching suspects in the act and reducing repeat crimes.
Cindy Snyder, whose car was broken into during one of these incidents, said the experience left her shaken, adding, "I'm still angry because I felt traumatized."
