Description
Meet Zoey | During a 20-week ultrasound, Zoey’s parents discovered that Zoey would be born with a limb difference. She has a congenital amputation of her right hand and forearm, most likely caused by a blood clot that happened while inside the womb. Zoey and her family regularly visit Rady Children’s to ensure her arm is growing proportionately and check-in on everything, as well as learn about new opportunities in the limb difference community. Now, Zoey is 6-years-old and thriving. She is very active, playing soccer, gymnastics, swimming and her new favorite hobby: surfing!
On August 26, CBS 8 and Rady Children’s held a Working Fur Kids Give-A-Thon, encouraging donations from the community to help raise funds for the Rady Children's Resident Canine Therapy program. The program will help ease the pain and suffering of children who are patients at Rady Children’s Hospital, California’s largest non-profit children’s hospital.
