Description
7/30/1965 There was a bucket brigade at the Kathy-Ray Beauty Shop at 815 "C" Street today. Somebody had cut off the water while several customers were getting hair treatments... The shop owner, Mrs. Katherine Lobo, said workmen were installing new water pipes in the building but she did NOT get the word that the water would be turned off. The shop borrowed buckets and water from a working nearby department store and continued its beauty treatments almost as if the daily routine had NOT been interrupted.
