Description
As part of a five-year strategic plan announced by IMPD Chief Chris Bailey earlier this year, the police department is hosting the first of many community listening sessions as it develops a new plan — and the public is invited to attend.
The first listening session is scheduled for Wednesday May 28 at 6 p.m. at the Brightwood Community Center at 4062 E. 34th St. on the city's east side.
Police officers will not be there. Instead, representatives from Taylor Advising will be talking directly to community members to gather information for a report IMPD will use in the strategic plan. This is in hopes that people can give honest and open feedback.
