A water main broke in the Uptown neighborhood, causing flooding on the street and into homes. A boil water advisory is in effect for several areas of Uptown New Orleans on Friday following an overnight water main break, according to the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans. The advisory was issued after water pressure dropped due to the break on Upperline Street. Crews are working to complete repairs, the utility said.
