A truck driver was injured after an Amtrak train crashed into a truck Monday morning in Gilpin County, according to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. The crash happened about 11:30 a.m., as Amtrak Train 5 traveling from Chicago to San Francisco hit the truck in the area of Highway 72 and South Beaver Creek Road, according to Amtrak.
