A wildfire that started burning Thursday in western Colorado has prompted pre-evacuations and a recommendation for campers to leave the area. Delta County Sheriff's Office said the Sowbelly Fire was started by lightning in Mesa County and has burned northeast into Delta and Montrose counties. The Bureau of Land Management said the fire is estimated to be approximately 2,251 acres and was burning in the Dominguez Canyon Wilderness area in Delta and Mesa counties in pinyon-juniper fuels.
