Description
Aug. 4 on The Story: They may have more of a reputation for policing Oregon's interstates, but troopers from Oregon State Police are out on the waterways as well — and one major goal for the agency is to enforce the state's fishing regulations. On the Columbia River, thousands of anglers try their luck each year at catching salmon. But the salmon runs aren't what they used to be, so there are strict rules to protect the fish and ensure that they keep coming back. We went along with an OSP boat as they looked for barbed hooks and bag limits on the river.
