Description

A driver of a vehicle was hospitalized after crashing head-on into a garbage truck in Northeast Portland early Friday morning, causing a road closure. The woman was pinned inside her vehicle, Portland police said. Portland Fire & Rescue were able to extricate her. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries that were deemed to be non-life threatening, Portland police said. The driver of the garbage truck remained at the scene. No one was arrested or cited. Portland police didn't provide any information about what may have caused the crash.
