Last winter, the Portland Bureau of Transportation asked Portlanders to come up with creative names for the city's first snowplow naming contest. In January 2025, more than 16,000 people used ranked-choice voting to select the top names for five of the city's 56 snowplows. On Tuesday, PBOT announced the winning snowplow names while holding their annual snow and ice training for their snowplow drivers.
