Two Hamilton County cities have once again been named among the best in the nation to live. U.S. News & World Report on May 20 released its annual list of the best places to live in the country, ranking "major U.S. cities based on value, desirability, job market and quality of life." Carmel, Indiana, came in second in the outlet's "250 Best Places to Live in the U.S. in 2025-26" list, with Fishers ranking just a few spots below at No. 4.
