The Indianapolis Fire Department rescued some boaters who became stuck on the White River Sunday afternoon. According to IFD, a pontoon boat had become stuck near the edge of a low head dam on the White River in Broad Ripple, near 64th Street and Westfield Boulevard. The owner of the boat told firefighters that when the boat approached the desired spot, the water quickly shallowed, causing them to lose the motor.
