IMPD says one person is dead and another injured after a shooting at a block party on Indy's near northeast side Saturday night. According to IMPD Capt. Rob Rider, officers were aware of and patrolling a block party that was happening in the 2900 block of North Dearborn Avenue. Around 10:30 p.m., an officer on the scene heard gunshots in the area and found an adult male who had been shot. Police say that victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. A second victim was also found. They were taken to Community East Hospital and said to be in stable condition.
