For the first time, we’re hearing from a woman who was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 4-year-old boy and left his father hospitalized on the southeast side of Indianapolis.

Donna Powell describes her Chocolate Labs as her "chick clique” — her girls, her family. When they went missing in March, she and her husband, Joe, spent a sleepless night searching the area near their Clinton County home.
On March 27, Donna's dogs, Ruby and Nellie, were found shot and killed on private property in Boone County. This week, prosecutors formally charged 49-year-old Paul Ed Bowman and his son, 21-year-old Brayden Bowman, both from Kirklin, Indiana, with multiple felonies, including killing a domestic animal and obstruction of justice.
